Most AA meetings are mixed sex. There are a few women-only meetings. Many women in AA have suffered male trauma. Many have been "hit on" by men in mixed meetings trying to chat them up. So the women's meetings are important.

This one women's meeting was no longer useful after a transwoman joined - very obviously male bodied. 1. They talked much more than any woman there. 2. Women were uncomfortable so stopped attending. This person could have gone to any number of mixed meetings, they are nearly all mixed.
